I've been checking out how some of my photos look as iPad wallpaper, and I rather like how this one turned out. The blurry aloe plant works pretty well as both a "screen lock" and a "home screen" background, and you can download it right here.
Once the file is downloaded, you can add it to a folder or iPhoto album that syncs with your iPad. Then sync with your iPad, and dive into its settings to choose the pic as a wallpaper. If this sounds like crazy talk to you, you might want to check out how to do this sort of thing.
